Zechariah's First Taste of Chocolate and Playing With Friends

Zechariah just started taking a new medicine (it tastes like baking soda) and he doesn't like it so we have been trying to figure out the best way to give it to him we called his doctor and talked to the pharmicist and they both suggested chocolate syrup, but we tried a few other options first (mixed with fruit, 100% maple syrup). Zechariah didn't care for either so after he went to bed last night Elizabeth made some homemade chocolate fudge and we gave it try this morning and according to the face above I think he likes it.
This is Zechariah's friend Elizabeth (she is 1 month younger than Zechariah) she wanted to be right where Zechariah was.
We get together almost every Tuesday either at her house or ours.

Easter and Saint Patrick's Day

I thought I might have lost this post because we are in the middle of a thunder storm and the power went out for a few seconds, but thanks to drafts I found it again.

I never can remember what order you are suppose to do it in.

So they are backwards. Opps!

You would think that Zechariah would be going into a crawl, but no he is just getting on his stomach so that he can roll.

Easter morning John brought up his rabbit Sesame to take pictures with and Zechariah thought it was the greatest idea. He really enjoyed going for Sesame's ears and thankfully the rabbit didn't bite him.

Enjoying a late Saint Patrick's day treat from Grandma Carolyn and Grandpa Patrick.
We just let him have a few licks of the apple fruit leather because he has an issue with choking.

He loves feeding himself.

Catching Up

(Thanks to Elizabeth's sister's encouragement you now have a new blog entry so you can continue to see our precious little boy growing up.)

Zechariah, Gabriel, & Wyatt

This is the outfit we bought so the 3 babies could match.

We had 3 different outfits and this was the last change so they were all ready to be done with all the fussing and get to eating or taking a nap.

We got to go to California for Christmas to introduce Zechariah to the majority of Elizabeth's family (only her mom, Karyn's family, and brother Tim had already met him). We saw lots of special people while we were there and Elizabeth got to meet her 3 newest nephews (the 2 babies pictured above belonging to brother Rob and sister Tammy and then 4 year old Robbie who Elizabeth's brother Jamey is adopting).

Shortly after waking up in the morning these days Zechariah loves to sit in front of his toys and pull stuff out of the boxes and play until it's nap time. Elizabeth is usually on the couch working on Bible study or some other paperwork during this time or in this case taking pictures of Zechariah.

This is the most recent picture we have of Zechariah (3/22/12) and if you look closely you can see his 2 newest teeth on the bottom (he's got 4 on top as well).
He loves to eat and if we are eating then he thinks that he needs to be eating solid food as well. We have to continue pureeing his food well because he chokes more easily than most babies because of the birth defect he was born with, but he is definitely not picky.
